Committee Updates: Forum, Library, Small Home Repairs, Traffic

Thanks to everyone who attended the August Community Meeting, especially to committee members who have done great work in the weeks between the July meeting and the August Meeting.
  • Meet the Mayor/Councilwoman Forum:  The event was well attended and the Mayor and Councilwoman both committed to a quarterly forum hosted at ETC.
  • East Trenton Library: Committee members are working on meeting with City and County Library representatives and will host an East Trenton Library informational session after gathering information from these meetings.
  • Small Home Repairs:  Committee members have met several times to work out program design.  Applicants must demonstrate how repairs address health and safety issues.  The application will be available from September 10-28, 2019.
  • Traffic: Truck Traffic continues to be a problem on Klagg Ave.  The signage that was posted was installed incorrectly and does not adequately communicate the problem.  Residents will continue reaching out to Anthony Santora at Department of Public Works.
We also began a conversation about the grant funding ETC receives, particularly through it's lead agency NJCC.
