the east trenton collaborative
The East Trenton Collaborative is a group of residents and organizations who work together to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood by addressing problem properties, strengthening community assets, improving infrastructure, and promoting economic opportunity, as described in the East Trenton Vision Plan. The Collaborative holds monthly public community meetings to update residents on the work underway and to receive their input, and monthly board meetings on administrative business.
New Jersey Community Capital is a nonprofit community development financial institution that fosters the creation of quality homes, educational facilities, and employment opportunities in underserved communities in New Jersey. In recent years, NJCC has pioneered strategies to help communities recover from the foreclosure crisis, including the large-scale acquisition and rehabilitation of abandoned properties, as well as supporting communities affected by Hurricane Sandy.
