ETC And Capital City Farm Host A "Bouquet Bar" At The Center

This past Wednesday, August 10th, from 2-4pm, residents were able to come down to the East Trenton Center to learn how to make and take home their very own floral bouquets! This “Bouquet Bar” was hosted by the East Trenton Collaborative along with Capital City Farm, to allow ETC to gather and engage with the community more directly, since the Covid pandemic limited the scope of many events for the past few years. This event also allowed Capital City Farm to fulfill its mission of “bringing beauty into the Community”. The Bouquet Bar was well received by the community and greater Trenton, bringing-out West Ward Council candidate Teska Frisby, and At-large Candidate Crystal Feliciano.

East Trenton residents and community leaders (and Kurt!) showing off their newly made flower bouquets at the center.

To quote our very own Shereyl Snider, a community organizer here at ETC, “seeing all the beautiful Trenton residents come out, men, women, and children surrounded by sunflowers, and art, was a true display of beauty in the community. This is why ETC exists...To help make the east Trenton neighborhood a great place to live, work, play, and raise family.”

Thanks to Capital City Farm for working with us to host this unique event at the center, and a big thanks to Capital City Farms Vicky Vega for both helping residents make their bouquets AND bringing the flowers in the first place! We look forward to continuing to partner with CCF for future events right here in East Trenton!
