The East Trenton Collaborative is Recognized For Its Work Towards Making Trenton More Bikable and Pedestrian-safe

For Bike Month, The East Trenton Collaborative was highlighted for in a video from the Redford Center detailing its work in improving pedestrian and traffic safety in the city of Trenton. The video features our very own Shereyl P., who discusses our 2021 Open Streets event, where segments of the road aroud George Page Park were closed off, allowing residents to come out and enjoy wide open spaces featuring vendors, bikes, games, and more. Although ETC orchestrated Open Streets, it was a collaborative effort, with many other partner organizations manning tables/bringing supplies/etc. ETC also worked with residents to permanently improve pedestrian safety around George Page Park and other areas of the city.

The video also featured the work of Trenton Cycling Revolution, which aims to improve bike accessibility in the city of Trenton. ETC works closely with TCR, with their new Community Outreach Garage (deemed the C.O.G.) located at the East Trenton Center, which is ETC’s office. The C.O.G. features tons of equipment and tools neccesary to fix bikes, and plans to host weekly group bikes rides through various portions of the city. ETC is proud to both work with TCR and continue to work towards a safer Trenton.
